Dua petugas dari Polsek Marangkayu hadir langsung memberikan materi bertema “Taat Peraturan dalam Berlalu Lintas”.
BONTANG– Suasana aula SMA Negeri 3 Marangkayu tampak berbeda, Rabu pagi (16/7/2025). Sebanyak 68 siswa baru mengikuti Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) dengan kegiatan yang tak biasa: kehadiran Polisi Sahabat Anak.
Acara dimulai pukul 09.45 WITA di Desa Prangat Selatan, Kecamatan Marangkayu. Dua petugas dari Polsek Marangkayu hadir langsung memberikan materi bertema “Taat Peraturan dalam Berlalu Lintas”.
Ia juga mengingatkan para siswa agar tidak menggunakan kendaraan bermotor sebelum memiliki SIM dan usia yang sesuai.
“Jangan paksakan diri mengendarai motor kalau belum cukup umur. Bahaya menunggu di tikungan,” ucap Fhatur sambil menunjukkan gambar rambu-rambu lalu lintas.
Sesi edukasi berlangsung santai namun serius. Para siswa antusias mengikuti simulasi sederhana tentang etika berlalu lintas dan arti rambu-rambu.
Sesi tanya jawab pun tak kalah seru. Banyak siswa baru yang aktif bertanya seputar aturan berkendara dan hukum lalu lintas.
Kepala SMA Negeri 3 Marangkayu, Kusman Dima, mengaku sangat mengapresiasi kehadiran Polsek Marangkayu di kegiatan MPLS tahun ini.
“Edukasi seperti ini sangat bermanfaat. Ini membentuk karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab sejak dini,” tuturnya.
Ia berharap program serupa bisa rutin digelar, tidak hanya saat MPLS, tapi juga di tengah tahun ajaran sebagai pengingat dan pembentuk budaya tertib lalu lintas di kalangan pelajar.
