Kasus ini bermula dari kepercayaan. Pelapor mengenal OP sebagai sales dealer motor yang menawarkan jasa pembelian unit atas nama istri pelapor. OP pun diyakini sanggup mengurus proses inden motor.
Tak menunggu lama, pelapor mentransfer uang secara bertahap: Rp5 juta pada 7 September 2024, Rp17 juta pada 4 Oktober 2024, dan tambahan Rp3 juta, hingga totalnya Rp25 juta.
Namun, setelah berbulan-bulan menunggu, motor yang dijanjikan tak kunjung datang.
Curiga, pelapor mencoba mengonfirmasi ke pihak dealer. Hasilnya mengejutkan. Motor tersebut tidak pernah tercatat dalam sistem inden. Bahkan, OP diketahui sudah mengundurkan diri dari tempatnya bekerja.
Pelapor mencoba menghubungi OP. Tapi sejak 13 Januari 2025, nomor ponsel OP tak bisa dihubungi. Upaya mendatangi rumahnya pun sia-sia. Orang tuanya mengaku, OP sudah lama tak pulang.
Tak ingin rugi lebih dalam, pelapor akhirnya melaporkan kejadian ini ke Polresta Samarinda.
Unit Jatanras yang menerima laporan, langsung bergerak. Setelah penyelidikan intensif, OP berhasil dilacak. Ia ditangkap pada Kamis malam, 31 Juli 2025, sekitar pukul 23.00 WITA di Jl. Arjuna Gang 2, Kelurahan Jawa, Kecamatan Samarinda Ulu.
Penangkapan berlangsung tanpa perlawanan. OP langsung dibawa ke Polresta Samarinda untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
Dalam kasus ini, polisi juga menyita dua bukti transfer bank sebagai barang bukti. Sementara OP tengah menjalani pemeriksaan mendalam.
“Kami terus melengkapi administrasi penyidikan untuk proses hukum selanjutnya,” kata Kepala Polresta Samarinda Komisaris Besar Polisi Hendri Umar dalam keterangannya. (DIAS)
